Activities at Stevns Folklore Museum
At Stevns Folklore Museum, the whole family can experience a world of legends, myths, stories and exciting activities all year round. Whether you are into living stories, inspiring exhibitions, creative workshops or special holiday events, the museum offers unique experiences for both children and adults.
Every year we celebrate the birthday of the Cliff King – a festive and magical day, where the legendary figure himself may stop by, and where there are fun activities, music and stories at a child-friendly level. Our Storyteller Fridays bring old stories to life when skilled communicators share stories, legends and myths from Stevns and the rest of Denmark in intimate and atmospheric surroundings.
During the summer months, we invite you to Active Summer, where the entire museum is buzzing with life. Here you can participate in workshops, go on treasure hunts, hear stories under the open sky and experience folklore in a fun and engaging way. In addition, we offer ongoing events in connection with holidays such as Christmas and Halloween – always with a mythic and historical twist.
The museum’s activities combine play, learning and local folklore, and we make sure there is something for both young and old. Keep an eye on our calendar and facebook, which we regularly update with new events, special exhibitions and theme days.
